HAOER Founding Fellows

HAOER is excited to announce that Founding Co-Chair Nathan Smith and Current Chair Victoria Brame were selected as Founding Fellows for the Texas OER Fellowship Program!

The Founding Fellows were selected based on their considerable demonstrated experience and leadership in open education and OER in Texas. Under the guidance of THECB Digital Learning staff, experts from the Institute of the Study of Knowledge Management in Education (ISKME), and other select instructors, the cohort of 10 will meet this summer to:

  • Create strategic plans for OER leadership development in Texas
  • Design and co-create the Texas OER Fellowship curriculum
  • Co-create Texas-focused materials for emerging OER leaders
  • Inspire Texas OER leaders through impactful video storytelling
  • Identify their mentorship styles and engage in leadership development
  • Determine capstone project themes for the Texas OER Fellows Program
